In Canberra, everything is debatable - whether it's the roundabouts, the roadworks, or even the weather. So why should election night be any different?

Join us at Contentious Character on Saturday, 3rd May, for an election night with a twist. Sure, we will have the coverage on TV. It is not election night without Antony Green calling it for Australia. But it's time Australia had a panel of analysts who are more laughable than the candidates.

For you, the people of Canberra, Fenner, Bean and Eden-Monaro, we’ve got a panel of legendary Canberra comedians for your election night. Some with plenty of political nous. Some with none at all! Diverse as you can get across the political universe they will be entertaining and engaging you with live, unfiltered, and outrageously funny commentary on the election coverage, the policies, the political players and the pundits.

Our panel has been curated by the Canberra Comedy Team who have brought you the wildly popular Contentious Comedy Debates.

Of course, you can come early. The bar will be open! And if we don’t have a result by 9:30pm you can stick around and keep watching it on tv until late. And yes, the bar will still be open then too!
